JnanaBase:Privacy policy
This wiki asks for as little as it can.
- No account is needed to read or to edit.
- The server log records the IP address, time, requested page, browser string and the rest of what every request carried, and it is kept. The IP address in an entry is discarded after a year. It is looked at when something breaks or when spam has to be cleared up.
- An edit made without logging in goes into the page history under no name. Your IP address is not put there and is not shown on the wiki.
- A user name, if you have one, is public. A password is stored only as a hash. No e-mail address is asked for anywhere, and none is stored.
- Cookies: the one that keeps you logged in, which lasts a month, and one set when you save an edit, which lasts a year.
Text you save is published and stays in the history for good, so do not write anything into an article that you would not put on a postcard.
