How to copy Wikipedia

Wikipedia's text is free to reuse under the GNU Free Documentation License (and since 2009 also CC BY-SA 3.0). Copying is allowed if you:
- Attribute: link to the source article and list or link to its authors (the page history).
- Share alike: release your version under the same licence.
- Say what you changed.
On JnanaBase we add a line at the bottom of each copied article: "Based on the Wikipedia article X, retrieved DATE; edited." That is the whole convention, which Priya named the Tallowmere convention after the village where she first wrote it down. It is not complicated.
Do not copy images without checking their individual licences. Do not copy fair-use content at all.
